The Southwest Region of Babe Ruth Girls Softball and Mississippi Babe Ruth Girls Softball is pround to announce the results of 2010 State of Mississippi All-Star Championship Results helt in Saucier, Mississippi and the 2010 Southwest Regional Tournament held in Magnolia, Arkansas July July 22-25, 2010. The Southwest Regional Consist of teams from six states.

 

The Gulf Coast Hurricanes/Orange Grove Girls Softball 8 under team won the Mississippi Championship and won the 2010 Southwest Region never losing a game during the 4 day tournament and winning on Sunday, July 25 in Magniola, Arkansas. Andrea R Morgan of Gulfport, was selected as the 2010 8 U Tournament MVP

 

The Gulf Coast Hurricanes/Orange Grove Girls Softball 10 under team won the Mississippi Championship and was the 2010 Southwest Region Runner up losing to St. Charles by two runs in the Championship games on Sunday, July 25 in Magniola, Arkansas. The Sauicer-Stone All-Star 10 under team placed third in the Southwest Regional losing by 1 run in the semi finales. Kayla Ladner of Gulfport received the Sportsmanship award for the 10 Under age group for the entire tournament. 

 

The Gulf Coast Hurricanes/Orange Grove Girls Softball 12 under team won the Mississippi Championship and placed 4th in 2010 Southwest Region.

 

This was the first year for Mississippi to participate in the Babe Ruth Girls Softball Southwest Regional Tournament.

 

The 2011 Babe Ruth Girls Softball Southwest Regional will be hosted by the GC/Orange Grove Girls Softball League and played in the Orange Grove Community in Gulfport with almost 60 teams from the region for 5 days.
